Shootbolt

Part of the Nico Security Plus range, the Shootbolt combines effective design, robust construction and UK manufacture to ensure reliability, security and performance.

The design incorporates espagnolette type cams along the length of the bolt and at each end, providing an effective, reliable locking system and a smooth, positive closing action. Load bearing gearbox components are manufactured from steel for maximum strength and durability.

Nico Security Plus Shootbolts are BBA approved and acredited by Secured by Design.

Nico's in house electroplating plant enables the application of Supercoat 500 to many products including locking systems and produces a highly corrosion resistant bright silver finish.

Using environmentally friendly trivalent chrome passivates corrosion resistance is above BS EN1670 Class 5 (480 hours), Nico's regular in house quality tests normally return a result above 800 hours before red rust.

Supercoat 500 is also self healing and maintains corrosion resistance after thermal shock testing making Supercoat 500 coated products suitable for the most arduous conditions.
