Nico have developed a unique and patented telescopic shootbolt to reflect the continued importance of production volume within the window industry. The need for ease and simplicity of hardware fitting has never been greater as window fabrication lead times continue to be reduced. Nico have combined tried and tested gearbox performance with a unique telescopic function to provide a strong, secure and reliable shootbolt for the PVCu window market.
The Telescopic Shootbolt has been tested as a critical component to PAS024 and has Secured By Design Police Preferred Specification approval. Endurance tested to 30,000 cycles in the Nico Test Centre, the shootbolt has the exceptional Supercoat 500 silver corrosion resistant finish. Test results indicate that finished products have achieved grade 5 as defined in BS EN 1670: 2007, making them suitable for coastal or industrial environments.
The telescopic shootbolt comes in a 20mm or 22mm backset, with a choice of 7.8mm or 9.0mm eccentric adjustable cams. Manufactured in Nico’s UK factory, it is available from stock today.
