Nico designs and manufactures an extensive range of quality hinges and fittings for the window, furniture and building industries from its production and distribution centre in Essex. Due to recent growth a new position for an experienced Design Engineer is now required to join their highly skilled team.
The experienced Design Engineer will predominantly work for Nico but on occasion assist other companies within the JBS group. This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer with preferable industry experience who will work closely with both suppliers and customers to design and develop innovative designs for new product ranges that are delivered on time and within budget. You will also assist in maintaining the current product range through engineering change into commercialisation.
Educated to HND or degree level, ideal candidates will have real experience and exposure to design and developing of quality hinges and fittings for the building industries. You will be fully conversant with 3D Cad design and have an understanding of production machinery, including die-casting, press-blanking. You will be proficient with modern office systems (Outlook, Excel, Project & PowerPoint).
